Luxury Alaska Elopement
ELOPEMENT VISION:
Why they loved it:
From choosing their vow location via dogsled to taking a cold plunge amongst creaking icebergs - it all felt fresh and unbelievable.

"Alaska, please! But without recreating a mainstream wedding - how can we stay out of that box?"
Day 1 - Meeting and Centering
A wonderful dinner, where meeting felt like long time friends. Kate helped sew special items from Ronnie's family safely inside her coat as they reviewed the itinerary.
Day 2 - City Exploration to First Looks. They began the morning slowly, with a nod to earlier days in their story - laughing and chatting, headed to a coffee shop as Kate captured some easy going portraits.
That afternoon, they chose to get ready separately, then reunite for a first look. The adventure officially began with tender hugs, excitement, and gentle tears.
Day 1 - Meeting and Centering
A wonderful dinner, where meeting felt like long time friends. Ronnie came to Alaska with a pin and necklace pendant, gifts from her mother and grandmother. Not wanting to lose either one in the vast wilderness, they stitched them inside her jacket so they stayed close to her heart for their elopement adventure.
As Kate sewed, they all went over the itinerary again, chatted through the nerves and excitement they both felt, then bid goodnight for some deep rest.
Day 2 - City Exploration to First Looks.
They began the morning slowly, with a nod to earlier days in their relationship - laughing and chatting as they walked through downtown Seward to a coffee shop and Kate captured some easy going portraits.
That afternoon, they chose to get ready in different parts of their cabin, then come downstairs for a first look. When they did, suddenly, all the planning and preparation became real! The adventure officially began with tender hugs, excitement and gentle tears.
Day 2 - Dogsled Vows
A helicopter whisked them to a dog sled mushing camp. Kate arranged with the dog sled guide for them select where to say their vows during their ride: “Any spot that moves you, is yours to have.”
When they saw a mountain peak with a stunning surround, they knew it was the place.
Afterward, their pilot flew us back over their ceremony spot so they could see it from a different viewpoint.

A helicopter whisked them to a dog sled mushing camp. Kate arranged with the dog sled guide to let them select where they wanted to say their vows during their ride: “Any spot that moves you, is yours to have.”
When they saw a mountain peak with a stunning surround, they knew it was the place. The guide radioed back to their pilot - who doubled as their officiant - to give her exact coordinates to join us, and Anthony and Ronnie committed to forever right on the glacier.
Afterward, their pilot flew us back over their ceremony spot so they could see it from a different viewpoint.
Next, the heli dropped us off at a set of secluded glamping yurts for their wedding night at the edge of a glacial lagoon filled with icebergs.
Although remote, Ronnie and Anthony did not have to sacrifice comfort: Kate & the heli coordinator conspired to helicopter in a heap of fresh Alaskan crab legs, a fully plated 4-course dinner, and, Kate's sweetheart tablescape to serve it all on.
Day 3 - Kayaking. Cold Plunge with Icebergs.
The day actually began around 1am, a thick mist rolled over the lagoon, blocking out the midnight sun. They walked along the shore of the lagoon, listening to icebergs creak in the fog.
The day rolled on like a dream with a kayak tour through the icebergs, a gourmet lunch amidst the lupine bloom, a cold plunge into the lagoon, and time to rest on sun-warmed rocks.
After an unforgettable afternoon, the heli dropped us off at a set of secluded glamping yurts so the couple could spend their wedding night at the edge of a glacial lagoon filled with icebergs. Despite the remoteness, Ronnie and Anthony did not have to sacrifice comfort: Earlier in the day, Kate & the heli coordinator conspired to helicopter in a heap of fresh Alaskan crab legs and a fully plated 4-course dinner, and, Kate's sweetheart tablescape to serve it all on.
Day 3 - Kayaking. Cold Plunge with Icebergs. Love from Home on a Mountain.
The day actually began right as the prior one closed - at around 1am, a thick mist rolled over the lagoon, blocking out the midnight sun. Embracing the most darkness seen in days, they walked along the shore of the lagoon, listening to icebergs creak in the fog. Ronnie and Anthony returned to their yurt for a relaxing stay and a slow wake-up, with breakfast service at their yurt.
The day rolled on like a dream with a kayak tour through the icebergs, a gourmet lunch amidst the lupine bloom, a cold plunge into the lagoon, and time to rest on sun-warmed rocks.
Day 3 - Love Letters from Home on a Mountain. First Dance
Fully relaxed, the couple put their formal wear back on and took a heli ride to a mountain top perch over Resurrection Bay.
Here where they shared their first dance, read love letters from home, all while the water glistened below.
Some couples who elope to Alaska only get one heli stop like this. But, for Ronnie and Anthony it was the cherry on top of a fully immersive experience flowing into a honeymoon of additional adventure that Kate helped seed with ideas.
Day 3 - Love Letters from Home on a Mountain. First Dance
Fully relaxed, the couple put their formal wear back on and took a heli ride to a mountain top perch over Resurrection Bay, where they shared their first dance to their favorite song while the water glistened below.
Then, with sweeping views all around them, they had a special moment to connect with loved ones back home: Ronnie’s little sister compiled a scrapbook of notes and love letters to read from their closest crew (and Kate secretly coordinated to ensure everything matched their custom vow books).
