Alaska isn’t just a backdrop—it’s an experience.

From tidewater glaciers that creep under the midnight sun, to alpine ridges where the quiet is only broken by the wind and your laughter, Alaska offers couples the rare chance to elope in one of the last true frontiers.

As a luxury Alaska elopement photographer and designer, I help you shape that wildness into something intimate and deeply personal.

Whether you dream of vows on the ice, tucked-away lodges in the wilderness, or a multi-day journey that feels like a true expedition, this is where your Alaska story begins.

Why Choose Alaska for Your Elopement?

Alaska is unlike anywhere else. Here, it's not about big resorts or cookie-cutter wedding venues that churn out weddings on repeat.  Choosing Alaska for your elopement is about prioritizing a "venue" that makes you feel—small, amazed, excited, content, and so much more

What couples love about Alaska:

  • Glaciers: Heli or ski-plane accessed, boat-touched, or hiked-in—Alaska’s glaciers in all their forms are one-of-a-kind.

  • Mountains & Fjords: Jagged peaks and ocean-carved inlets set the stage to be amazed by the scale.

  • Luxury Lodging: Remote backcountry lodges, glass-front cabins, and bespoke glamping that bring comfort into the wild.

  • Seasons: From wildflower meadows in summer to golden forests in fall, or the magic of an Alaska elopement under the Aurora Borealis every season has its magic.
Your Alaska elopement is about more than beautiful photographs—it’s about feeling fully seen and cared for throughout the journey so you can truly enjoy the experience without worry.

To do this, I bring:
  • Born-from-adventure knowledge of Alaska,
  • Deep travel expertise, and
  • Thoughtful, experienced guidance to navigate the outdoors

All to help you move through the landscape comfortably, while creating images that feel as personal as they are stunning.

As your Alaska luxury elopement photographer, I’m here to design experiences that let you be present in the moment where your focus is on exploration and experience, not posing.

This way, your gallery reflects not just epic views, but the emotions and connection you carried through them.

Alaska Elopement Photography

An Alaska elopement deserves time.

One day isn’t enough to take in glaciers, lodges, or the quiet magic of the tundra.

This is why every Alaska experience I design is at least 1.5 days, often becoming 2+ day journeys.

That time gives you space to breathe, explore, and feel present in this place you’ve chosen. Some couples spend the first day traveling by helicopter or boat to exchange vows in a wild, remote corner of Alaska. The following day, we slow down—savoring a luxury lodge stay, exploring trails, or taking time to celebrate together.

The Enchanted Canopy Collection is where adventure luxe inspiration begins. From there, I’ll help you shape your Alaska elopement into something deeply yours: immersive, intentional, and unforgettable.

Real Alaska Adventures

When is the best time to elope in Alaska?

Summer (June–September) brings long days, wildflowers in the earlier months, and more consistent glacier access. Fall (September) offers golden colors, crisp air, fresh wild blueberries, and fewer crowds. "Tourist season" runs early May through about the start of September, so be aware that outside of that window, some lodging and excursions do close for the cold season.  Winter elopements (October through March) bring the chance for snowy backdrops and northern lights, while Spring (April-May) is a quieter season of transition. Each season offers something different, and I help couples choose the timing that best matches their vision.

What are some of the best places to elope in Alaska?

Across Alaska's National Parks and other national lands, you have access to glacier landings, coastal fjords, tundra, epic mountain ridges, alpine meadows, and secluded lodges that all offer unforgettable options.  I’ll guide you to locations that align with your priorities for scenery, privacy, activity type/adventure level, and accessibility.

How do we travel to our ceremony location?

Depending on your vision, we may reach your spot by helicopter, floatplane, or other aircrafrt.  Boat, train, horseback or jeep are also options, too.  And of a scenic hike is always an option for couples who enjoy that type of activity.

There are locations for all types of interest--hikes and helicopters are NOT required to elope in Alaska unless you want them!  I coordinate all logistics so your travel within your elopement feels seamless, safe and fun.

FAQs About Eloping in Alaska

Do we need to be outdoorsy or sporty to elope in Alaska?

Not at all. Many luxury lodges, glamping, and other accessible sites allow you to enjoy the wild beauty without strenuous activity. For those who crave adventure, there are endless options to explore.   I’ll guide you to locations that align with your priorities for scenery, privacy, activity type/adventure level, and accessibility.

What do we need to marry legally in Alaska?

Alaska has straightforward marriage laws: no residency is required, but you will need an officiant and one witness. The process is simple, with an easy mail‑in license application that works perfectly for couples traveling here to elope. I guide you through the paperwork and timelines step‑by‑step, and you can also review full details in the Alaska Elopement Guide.

How long should we plan to stay in Alaska for our elopement?

Most couples plan at least 4–5 days to allow travel and buffer time for a 1 or 2 day elopement.

If you plan to stay on for a honeymoon or romantic travel, allow 10+ days at minimum for unhurried adventure, celebration, and time to simply enjoy Alaska together.

I’ll help you map an itinerary to flow your elopement smoothly into experiences to rest and explore.

What destination elopement adventure can we inspire for YOU?

Yes, EVERYTHING is possible.
